9th Week Pregnancy Recipe: Drumstick Leaves Thuvayal /Chutney
INGREDIENTS:
- 1 bunch of drumstick leaves (approximately 100g)
- 1 tsp urad dal
- 1 tsp bengal gram dal
- 3 small onions
- 3 cloves of garlic
- 5 red chillies
- Salt to taste
- Tamarind, about ¼ lemon size
- 30g coconut
- 3 tsp oil
METHOD
- Take a deep-bottomed pan and heat 3 tsp of oil.
- Once the oil is hot, add urad dal, bengal gram dal and red chillies. Fry them until they turn golden brown.
- Now, add onions and garlic to the pan.
- Once the onions are cooked, add drumstick leaves, tamarind, coconut and salt.
- Saute the mixture for a few minutes, then set it aside.
- Once cooled, grind the mixture to a chutney consistency, adding a small amount of water.
